The Yankees are committed to paying Rodriguez $25 million in 2013 however they receive payroll relief for the games in which he is suspended. A-Rod is scheduled to earn $21 million in 2015.

If Alex Rodriguez is suspended for 50 games:

A-Rod would return to the Yankees on May 26, 2014, Memorial Day, in St. Louis. A-Rod would lose $7,716,049.50 in salary.

If Alex Rodriguez is suspended for 75 games:

A-Rod would return to the Yankees on June 24 in Toronto. A-Rod would lose $11,574,074.00 in salary.

If Alex Rodriguez is suspended for 100 games:

A-Rod would return to the Yankees on July 25 at home against the Blue Jays, the day before the Hall of Fame Weekend 75th anniversary. A-Rod would lose $15,432,099.00 in salary.

A-Rod would return to the Yankees on August 23 at home against in the White Sox. A-Rod would lose $19,290,123.50 in salary.

If Alex Rodriguez is suspended for 150 games:

A-Rod would return to the Yankees on September 17 in Tampa, Roberto Clemente Day and two weeks before the postseason begins. A-Rod would lose $23,148,148.00 in salary.

A-Rod would return to the Yankees 49 games into the 2015 season in late May. A-Rod would lose $31,351,851.94 in salary.
